Academic Background

Ms. Kane has performed a variety of economic research in both the private and public sectors, with areas of expertise including research design and project development, economic data analysis, creation and implementation of customized statistical tools, economic impact studies, and community research projects. Prior to joining The University of Georgia, Ms. Kane was an economist for a Fortune 500 corporation, focusing on econometric analysis and economic education. Before relocating to Georgia, she was a Research Assistant for The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) at The University of Kentucky. In addition, Ms. Kane has over 10 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry, specializing in federally insured and bond issue loans. She is currently a member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA) and the Southern Regional Science Association (SRSA).
